Cash
With a gift of cash to either the operating or the unrestricted endowment fund, you may be entitled to full tax benefit as an itemized deduction. Call the Operations Manager with your credit card information (830-626-2272) or send a check, payable to "CASA of Central Texas, Inc." to the following address: CASA of Central Texas, Inc. 1619 E. Common St., Ste. 301, New Braunfels, TX  78130.

Appreciated Securities/Stock
Do you have appreciated stocks in a brokerage account or in certificate form? A gift of publicly-traded stock will provide support for CASA children in Central Texas at the full market value and with no capital gains tax paid by the donor. Donors may be able to take a charitable deduction on their federal income tax return for the market value of the securities at the time of stock transfer without recognition of capital gains. If you would like specific information about transferring securities, please call Norma Blackwell at (830) 626-2272 or e-mail nblackwell@casacentex.org.

Retirement Accounts
Inclusion of retirement plans may subject an estate to additional federal and state income and estate taxes.  Designating a percentage of assets from the plan to CASA of Central Texas, Inc. may minimize the taxes due on retirement plan assets.

Charitable Remainder Trust
A charitable remainder trust can be established with cash, appreciated securities, real estate or other marketable assets. A charitable remainder trust may provide income until your death (or the death of a beneficiary), or for a specified term of years. When the trust terminates, the principal becomes available to CASA of Central Texas, Inc.

Real Estate
Real estate is an ideal asset for many methods of charitable giving. Depending on the giving method, your gift helps benefit CASA of Central Texas, Inc. at the same time that you may benefit from income tax savings, capital gains tax savings, or estate and gift tax savings.

Life Insurance
You can name CASA of Central Texas, Inc. the beneficiary (or co-beneficiary) on an existing life insurance policy. In the event of your death, CASA of Central Texas, Inc. receives the proceeds of the policy as a bequest, which may generate federal estate tax benefits. If you also make CASA of Central Texas, Inc. owner of the paid-up policy and relinquish all incidents of ownership, you may be able to claim an income tax deduction for the cash surrender value.

You are encouraged to consult your tax advisor and/or your attorney before making your gift. CASA of Central Texas, Inc. is unable to provide investment or tax advice.

CASA of Central Texas, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Your donation is tax deductible under the rules of the Internal Revenue Service.
