Double Your Donation with McKenna Grant Challenge

thermometer77 For many years, CASA has had a goal to establish an endowment fund for the purpose of supporting the long-term sustainability of our CASA services for abused and neglected children in Caldwell, Comal, Guadalupe and Hays Counties.  In a press release, it was announced that CASA of Central Texas was selected as one of six recipients of a special grant from the McKenna Foundation to challenge us to raise the initial funds to start an endowment.

As a condition of the challenge, we need to secure $25,000 in designated contributions from May 1, 2014 to December 1, 2014.

For every dollar contributed by individuals and businesses, McKenna will provide an equal match up to an additional $25,000, making the opening fund balance at least $50,000.  Several of our board members and staff have already committed to making personal contributions to the endowment fund.  This is a tremendous opportunity and we need your help too!  Ideally, we are seeking 50 donors to each make a gift of $500.  However, gifts of any size are eligible as are non-cash gifts such as securities.

To participate in the challenge, donate HERE and type “endowment” in the designation box.

You may also wish to make a memorial or honorarium gift.  Whichever is most meaningful to you, however, I do hope that you will consider being a contributor to this groundbreaking effort in the history of our local CASA program.

We hope you will join us in this exciting opportunity!
