Welcome to the Wing Society, Helping CASA Soar. The Wing Society is an auxiliary group whose mission is to support, enhance and sustain CASA of Central Texas. Membership is open to both CASA Volunteers and non-volunteers.
Formed four years ago, The Wing Society, a support group for CASA, (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is growing and providing positive support to help sustain and revitalize the commitment of CASA’s volunteers.
The Wing Society sponsors social activities that bring volunteers together to share experiences in a fun relaxing atmosphere. This auxiliary organization also provides refreshments for new advocates at the swearing in ceremonies which take place after completion of their training. Advocates are then known as Guardian ad Litem for the abused and neglected children of Caldwell, Comal, Guadalupe and Hayes Counties.
The Wing Society is self-funded through membership subscriptions and donations which helps keep all of CASA’s legislated funding focused on advocate training and staff support.
When CASA needs assistance, this group is always there to pitch in and prepared to do whatever is needed. Together, the CASA community will continue to make a difference in the lives of children in the care and custody of the State.
