CASA of Central Texas, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Your donation is tax deductible under the rules of the Internal Revenue Service.

To make a secure online donation through Network for Good, click here.You may use this option to make a one time donation or set up a recurring donation. You may also designate your donation to a specific fund, or make a donation on behalf of or in memory of another person.

Cash

With a gift of cash to the operating fund, endowment fund, or the Captial fund, you may be entitled to full tax benefit as an itemized deduction. Third Party Event

A third party fundraising event is organized by an outside organization or individual to raise funds that benefit CASA of Central Texas, Inc. The outside organization or individual is responsible for all aspects of the event and fundraising. By taking on this type of project, one assumes the responsibility of creating a successful event without a significant level of assistance from CASA. All special events and fundraising efforts conducted to benefit CASA should be run by financially responsible and reputable organizations or individuals motivated by a genuine desire to help CASA. If you are interested in organizing a third-party fundraiser to benefit CASA, please read our guidelines and complete the necessary forms in our third party event form.

Donate Your Vehicle

Have an old car taking up space in your driveway? Donate it to CASA of Central Texas! CASA partners with CARS (Charitable Rides and Services) to participate in a tax-deductible vehicle donation program. We accept most cars, trucks, trailers, boats, RV’s, motorcycles, off road vehicles, heavy equipment and other motorized vehicles. For more information or to make a donation, click here.

Appreciated Securities/Stock

Do you have appreciated stocks in a brokerage account or in certificate form? A gift of publicly-traded stock will provide support for CASA at the full market value and with no capital gains tax paid by the donor. A donor may be able to take a charitable deduction on their federal income tax return for the market value of the securities at the time of stock transfer without recognition of capital gains.

Retirement Accounts

Inclusion of retirement plans may subject an estate to additional federal and state income and estate taxes. Designating a percentage of assets from the plan to CASA of Central Texas, Inc. may minimize the taxes due on retirement plan assets.

Charitable Remainder Trust

A charitable remainder trust can be established with cash, appreciated securities, real estate or other marketable assets. A charitable remainder trust may provide income until your death (or the death of a beneficiary), or for a specified term of years. When the trust terminates, the principal becomes available to CASA of Central Texas, Inc.

Real Estate

Real estate is an ideal asset for many methods of charitable giving. Depending on the giving method, your gift helps benefit CASA of Central Texas, Inc. at the same time that you may benefit from income tax savings, capital gains tax savings, or estate and gift tax savings.

Life Insurance

You can name CASA of Central Texas, Inc. as the beneficiary (or co-beneficiary) on an existing life insurance policy. In the event of your death, CASA of Central Texas, Inc. receives the proceeds of the policy as a bequest. If you also make CASA of Central Texas, Inc. owner of a paid-up policy and relinquish all incidents of ownership, you may be able to claim an income tax deduction for the cash surrender value.
